Check it out!

This post is about the films that we like the most.

Eclipse

This is the third film of the Twilight saga and it was released last year. It tells the story of Isabella Swan (Bella) that falls in love with Edward Cullen, a vampire. I love these films!

Black Swan

The film is about a girl that gets crazy when she feels under pressure after being invited to dance and act as the Black and White Swan at the same time. We love this film because it’s original.

Tropa de Elite

This film shows the reality of crime in Rio de Janeiro. It has lots of action scenes. Wagner Moura plays Capitão Nascimento, a BOPE soldier. Who watches this film we will never forget the fight against the crime. So, check it out!

Paranormal Activity

Paranormal Activity is a 2007 American supernatural horror film written and directed by Oren Peli. The film centers on a young couple, Katie and Micah, who are haunted by a supernatural presence in their home.

A sequel, Paranormal Activity 2, was released on October 22^nd, 2010, and was followed by a prequel titled Paranormal Activity 3 on October 21^st, 2011.

The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift

This film takes place in a race in Tokyo. It talks about racing and drifting. This race is very dangerous and there are lots of people watching this exciting race. The film is full of adrenalin and adventure. I recommend it.

The Smurfs

The Smurfs is very fun. The film is about a Smurfs family. Seven of the Smurfs escape from Gargamel and end up in New York to live a long adventure. In the end, they beat Gargamel and return home.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II

Harry Potter is divided in a series of 8 films, but the last one is divided into 2 parts.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II, was the 3^rd highest grossing film in the world. The film tells the story of a boy named Harry Potter who, with the help of his friends Hermione and Ronald, tries to beat the villain Voldemort. In my opinion, it’s a great adventure movie!

We hope you like it!

Unforgettable Scenes

In our life, we see  a lot of movies. Whatever  your age is, you have already seen at least one movie. But there are some movies that remain in our minds for a long time. And we’ll talk about some.

We’re writing about movies we remind, so, if you remember any of them, please comment!

We’ll  start talking about a movie that I think everyone has already seen: Titanic.

Technical Details:

Titanic is a 1997 American epic romance and disaster film directed, written, co-produced, and co-edited by James Cameron. A fictionalized account of the sinking of the RMS Titanic, it stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Jack Dawson, Kate Winslet as Rose DeWitt Bukater and Billy Zane as Rose's fiancé, Cal Hockley.

It isn’t necessary to say what happens in the movie… Everyone knows. But the love between Jack and Rose was incredible and the scene that remains in our minds is:

There is a video:

Who doesn’t remember this?

Another movie that follows this style is Shall We Dance?

Tecnical Details:

Shall We Dance is a 2004 comedy drama movie directed by Peter Chelsom, and starring Richard Gere.

This one had a brilliant SoundTrack too.

There is a video:

Now, let’s talk about a comic book that became a movie: The Mask.

Tecnical Details:

The Mask is a 1994 American superhero comedy film based on a series of comic books published by Dark Horse Comics. This film was directed by Chuck Russell, and produced by Dark Horse Entertainment and New Line Cinema, and originally released to movie theatres on July 29, 1994 through New Line Cinema The film stars Jim Carrey as Stanley Ipkiss (also known as The Mask).

There is a video:

Another great movie is Psycho.

This one has a scene that no one was able to forget: the shower scene.

Technical Details:

The Shower scene from the 1960 movie Psycho is one of the most famous scenes in the history of cinema. This scene marked two things in the minds of many people: a film and a director. It’s unlikely to think of Alfred Hitchcock and not remember this scene. A curiosity: as the recordings were black and white, the liquid used to look like blood was chocolate.

There is a video:

Talking about terror and things like that, we can mention another movie: Life Is Beatiful.

Technical Details:

In Italy in the 40’s, Guido (Roberto Benigni) is taken to a Nazi concentration camp and has to use his imagination to make his young son believe that they are taking part in a game, in order to protect him from the terror and violence that surround them.

There is a video:

A movie that has an unexpected ending is The Sixth Sense.

There is a video:

The Shining is a real thriller. The scene in which the dead sisters appear is incredible, but the best part is when Jack Nicholson says “Here’s Johnny”.

There is a video:

In our childhood, if you were born in the 90’s, the originally named King of the Jungle was about African lions.

Technical Details:

Lion King was inspired in Hamlet, by William Shakespeare.

About 800 artists in 3 continents worked for 3 years to make the movie.

The best films in three genres!

Vampires Suck

It's directed by Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer and it was released in 2010.

The leading actors are Jenn Proske, as Becca Crane , Matt Lanter, as Edward Sullen, and Christopher Riggi, as Jacob White.

The film is a parody of the movie "Twilight". It tells the story of a girl named Rebecca who - after moving to the city where her father lives - falls in love with a boy called Edward Sullen.

Edward is a 117-year-old vampire who says he’s only 17. He’s a strange and romantic “boy”.

When Becca arrives in town, she meets her old friend named Jacob, who is a “werewolf”. In fact, “werewolf” does not describe exactly what Jacob is, because when he transforms himself into a non-human creature, he turns into a Chihuahua and not into a wolf.

Becca has mixed feelings about the boys but before she makes up her mind, she has to solve her problems with her controlling father, who treats her like a child and who puts her in embarrassing situations.

Probably the “Twilight saga” fans get really angry with this parody, but in our opinion “Vampires Suck” is very funny and very entertaining. We recommend it!!

Spider-Man 3

The film was released in 2007 and it was directed by Sam Raimi.

The leading actors are: Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst and Topher Grace.

“Spider-man” was one of the most popular movies of the decade, and was also one of the most expensive films of the 2000’s, costing US$ 258 milion.

The film is about Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire), a man who has to be able to handle his duties as Spider Man and his relationship with Mary Jane (Kirsten Dunst).

He begins to have problems when he has to confront Flint Marko (Thomas Haden Church), also known as “Sand Man”, who is involved in the death of his uncle Ben.

Spider-Man must also defeat his enemy, the photographer Eddie Brock (Topher Grace).

“Spider-Man 3” was one of the most anticipated films in 2007. However, many fans of the super-hero got a bit disappointed with the film.

But there is something that no one can deny: it has the best action scenes and the best special effects. Moreover, it was really fun.

“Spider-Man 4” is scheduled to be released in 2012… Let’s see if it will be as good as the last one!

A Nightmare on Elm Street

Originally, the first version of the film was directed by Wes Craven and was released in 1984. However, we chose the version released in 2010, which is directed by Samuel Bayer because we consider it the best one.

In the new version, the leading actors are Jackie Earle Haley, Rooney Mara and Kyle Gallner. Jackie Haley plays the role of Freddy Krueger, Rooney Mara plays the role of Nancy Thompson and Kyle Gallner plays the role of Quentin, who is Nancy’s boyfriend.

The film is about a group of teenagers who have something in common: all of them are being chased by Freddy Krueger, a horribly disfigured killer who hunts their dreams. When the teenagers are awake, they try to protect each other, but when they are sleeping, there is no escape.

Our opinion about “A Nightmare On Elm Street” is that it is the best horror movie because it was the most commented film and had the biggest audience of the decade.

Now, we want to hear from you:

What are the best comedy, the best action / adventure film and the best horror movie in your opinion?

Films or books?

Hello guys, today we’re going to talk about books that became movies. There are many books that made it to the big screen. Some are very good like The Godfather, others… well they aren’t  so good. In this post were going to talk about books that we read and the films that came from them, if they’re good or not, so please stay with us and read the post till the end.

The Lord of The Rings

There are several books that became movies but not even Harry Potter was so similar to the original as The Lord of The Rings. The nine hours that you spend watching the movies is like seeing the documents that prove the destruction of THE RING. Of course there are some differences, some useless characters were erased and the story flows much faster, but to people who read the book seeing them on the big screen was awesome, and those who didn’t, would enjoy the movies too.

The Davinci Code

Is a Great story and film but has a lot of bad critics because many people don’t like to question religious ways. The book and the film present another identity of Jesus Christ. The film is similar to other “films from books” because a book is a complete story and a film is a resume. But the film is good and worth watching.

Percy Jackson

The Book is very good. It talks about a boy who’s the son of Poseidon, god of the seas. Because of his father, the boy has good adventures in a world of Greek mythology. The book is good because you use a lot of imagination while reading it. The book’s author Rick Riordan was very creative in every detail of each book.
The film wasn’t very faithful to the book and was very poorly done. It was a summary of two books of the saga, with big differences as taking the car in the hotel to escape. In conclusion, you’d better read the books.

Twilight

The twilight saga is about the relationship between a human girl and a vampire told in four books, Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. These four books became five films because the last book was divided in two films.
The books are better because they ask for imagination and they’re more complex. However the films are still very good. The photography is an important part of the film because it matches the melancholic atmosphere, as well as the music. All these elements make the film good entertainment.

Do you agree with the reviews? Do you know other films from books?
